I've always thought heroes should have there own banks, they receive the gold value of every drop that's assigned to them which you can access to spend only on that specific hero's equipment. Much like hero points.

I still don't get why people are so concerned about how others play the game, and the attitude of "devaluing" the current economy. Its a game for crying out loud, the economy is a joke and fake, there's no economy in the world where the sole deciding factor of valuation is a person who adjusts drop rates on crude oil. Economies are more complex, GW has a simple barter system based on greed and jealousy. If you're envious of another player's gear, you want it too, whether to just look good or to show them up.

But since it has NO practical effect on gameplay, nor the outcome of a battle in either PvE or PvP terms, then why do people care if every single person is walking around in pink Obsidian with God Walking title displayed? Does it change the ability to play the game, beyond the effects of PvE skills and titles? No, and that's something everyone needs to realize before they start moaning and complaining about "old-timers" and all the made up economy terms thrown about.

A person in 1.5k Droks and collectors gear has just as much killing power as the Obsidian clad character using tormented weapons, so the argument boils down to jealousy and narcissism, both petty emotions. Quite sad.

Earlier, I was painted as a farmer defending my rights to all the good drops, and now I'm jealous of the farmers. Maybe you guys should make up your mind about what you think I am saying. Perhaps this will help.

I don't care what people do with their time, the GW economy does not effect me in the slightest, anyone can get anything that they want if they put in the time to do it. But this game wasn't designed for solo farming, hence I am against anything that enhances that type of gameplay.

The PvE side of GW was designed to be cooperative in nature with the minimum competition over resources in any game of this type. If you have played a game like Everquest, you might have an idea of how radical of an idea this is. Instanced zones, no camps, no grief. What an awesome concept!

Furthermore, the advantages to gain resources were weighted toward people who actually did things in groups, promoting cooperative play. Henchies were available to allow people to actually do stuff solo, because you can't always work within a group. This was, and still is, a great game from a design point of view.

Solo farming was developed by players, much like in any game, in order to maximize the resources for one person. It's enjoyable to obtain the things one wants I suppose, but selfish in my opinion. A player who solo farms throws away the cooperative nature of the game for self gain.

Additionally, the implementation of Heroes into the game dramatically decreased the interest in grouping with real people. The cooperative nature of GW has taken a back seat to greed and self interest. These boards are full of posts where players freely admit that they like playing the game with Heroes rather than people, basically because heroes have no free will. They'd rather boss around a robot than work with someone to obtain their goals. It's easier.

I do not support anti-social behaviors in the game. I play my game with other people. When I can't play with other people, I play with henchies and heroes, within the limits of what they have been designed to do. I do not support any modifications to gameplay that promote solo play.

Let the developers spend their time developing things that enhance gameplay for people who want to play with other people.

Is that straight enough for you?
